What You Should KnowInformation to help make your experience the best it can be

Your First Day of Treatment

Please know that everyone in our office, from our physicians to our staff, will do everything they can to provide you with a safe, comfortable, caring environment. We’ll be with you every step of the way.

Here’s what you can expect before your first treatment.

We will first pre-authorize the treatment with your insurance company. This approval is necessary to make sure that your treatment is covered. We work tirelessly to get these approvals as quickly as possible, however certain insurance plans do require additional time. If yours is one of these plans, or if your insurance changes, we may have to adjust the starting date of your treatment slightly to allow your insurance company time to approve the treatment.

When you arrive, a nurse will spend time reviewing the side effects of the medications you will receive. You'll then be asked to sign a consent form. Feel free to sign our consent form before your visit.

After your first treatment, you will be scheduled for your next appointment. During your first visit, we will review your diagnosis, treatment plan, goals of treatment, side effect management, and identify possible opportunities for referral to other resources. We encourage you to bring your family with you for each of these visits.
